This holiday season has been filled with more parties and get togethers than I have ever attended in my life! Over a course of 2 1/2 weeks I went to the V.I.P. (am I allowed to disclose that?) Rehab Christmas luncheon at Leigh Ann's, Ash and Brady's fabulous ugly sweater Christmas party, the ACTUAL Neuro Trauma Rehab Christmas party for the entire unit- at Lisa Wilson's BEAUTIFUL home (ok lets be real its mansion), our annual Christmas dinner/gift exchange with my girlies at Happy Sumo, Christmas Bunco at Candice's with my Louisiana Ladies, the yearly Christmas Vacation night at our house with Jord's friends, and the Van Ausdal white elephant/ugly sweater family party-just to name a few (for real..) Ugly sweaters seemed to be quite the trend this year...nothing new i guess! Anyway, all of these parties were an absolute riot and I just wanted to give a big THANK you to all of you wonderful hosts for having us in your homes! We are lucky to have such great friends and family! Here's a few pics from all our rendezvous!

This Christmas season has been amazing! There has been so much going on I feel like I have barely had time to breathe! But now that it's all said and done I can finally sit back and take it all in. {Forgive me if blogging about Christmas takes more than one post} Two weekends before Christmas we took a little overnighter up to Salt Lake with the fam to see the lights, do a little shopping, and spend some time together! That Friday night we ate at P.F. (of course mom's choice,) then went and grabbed some peppermint hot chocolate to sip on while we walked around temple square and looked at the lights. Addison was so cute, she loved the lights...oh and she also loved her new hat-pic below (but probably not as much as I LOVED it on her.) She was adorable that night. Saturday morning we woke up and grabbed some breakfast, Denny's of course- we are high class like that....lol. Then off to gateway for some shopping! That weekend was a great kickoff to all of the other festivities of the season!

Hawaii: Take TWO!

First of all- I want to tell you that I am listening to J.B.'s and Micheal Buble's Christmas C.D.'s while blogging....if you haven't bought these yet you seriously need to- I can't get enough! Anyway- on to the subject of this blog post! As if we didn't have enough fun in Hawaii during our September trip, we just HAD to go back again in November with the fam! It was an absolute riot, I have the BEST parents for giving our family such fun opportunities to travel so much and enjoy our vacations with the whole family :) Here are some highlights from the trip- some are repeats from the last trip-we just love them that much......

-Our AMAZING resort in Waikaloa Village on the Big Island

So...I know I'm a bit late on this, but Halloween this year was a BLAST! We had the annual Frischknecht Family Halloween party the Saturday before Halloween, then we had a party at our house on Halloween night with lots of fun friends! Me and Jord dressed up as Tarzan and Jane! Both of the parties were so much fun, here were a few of the highlights:

So for the last few weeks I have had the thought every few days - oh my gosh I have got to get caught up on some blog posts! I almost feel guilty when I don't blog about all the fun events in my life...but then I got to thinking- The fact that I don't have time to blog just means that I must be out enjoying my life instead! So right now I am officially grateful that I have been so busy having fun that I haven't had time to blog about it! Don't worry though....I will be trying to update soon...if not this week, next week life should slow down a little! Hope everyone is enjoying the start of the holiday season as much as me! :)

As I got into my car to drive home from work last week (at 6 a.m.) first thing I did was blast my heat! HEAT? Yes. Heat. The morning air outside is starting to get that crispy fall feel. I can't decide if I am happy for fall to be here, or sad that summer is ending! It seems like I haven't even been home all summer. Oh. Because I haven't. Somewhere between St. George, California, Louisiana, Louisiana AGAIN, and then Hawaii....I've managed to NOT be home all summer. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining one bit about all my summer adventures, I just simply can't believe fall is approaching so fast. BUT...I decided that I'm excited. Actually....I can't wait.

So a few weeks ago, right before Jord got back from Louisiana, I was with my fam up at our cabin and my parents sat us down and told us that they were planning a family trip to Hawaii in November. They wanted to take a fun family vaca before Nic leaves on his mission. So naturally I freaked out and got so excited (there is nothing that I love more than a BEACH, especially a HAWAIIAN beach!) I called Jord right away and told him all about it. Well, three days later I got a call from Jordan, "Hey babe....so....I just got and interesting call" He proceded to tell me that one of my parents friends (a contractor that Jord has done work for in the past) needed a bunch of tile work done in the beach house that he owns part of on the North Shore of Hawaii. He told Jord that he'd fly both of us out there for 10 days if Jord (along with two other guys) would do the tile work needed to be done, which would take about 4 days of work. So of course we agreed to it... and a week later we were in paradise! Hawaii was such a blast! Jord and the other two guys that came out to help with the tile job worked super hard for 4 days, did an AMAZING job on the house, then for the next 5 days we played and played and played! The other two guys wives flew out for the last five days, and they were all such a blast to hang out with. Here are some of our FAVORITE things we did and places we ate on the north shore:

I am exhausted! After being on vacation for the last three weeks, it is no easy feat to come back to THREE twelve hour graveyard shifts in a row! Two words: Rude. Awakening. I miss the fact that three days ago my biggest decisions were things like, Should we go to lay out at the pool, or go to the waterpark today? I want a snack, should we get beignets, or a snoball.....or both?? Should we shop at the outlets, or the mall? It's Lunch time.....Raising cane's, or Chick-fil-a? What a life! The lives of the wives is something I'm already missing! My vaca was FABULOUS....I think I might make myself a permanent wife next summer! But for now it's back to reality where my decisions revolve more around keeping patients alive and well! Here are a few random pics of all the fun I had with some of the wives in Louisiana!

This last Saturday we had another luncheon with all the wives that are out here in Louisiana. This turn it was Lyn and Aiime's turn to do the luncheon. Since Lyn is Hawaiian we had a LUAU! It was a BLAST and the food was AMAZING! We had hula hoop contests, limbo, hawaiian dancing and lots of other fun stuff! These girls definitely know how to have a good time!

In the car Jersey and Razz were just loving hanging their heads out the window and giving eachother kisses. I wish I could have caught a pic of them actually kissing, but I did get a cute one of them gazing into eachother eyes under the sunset- lady and the tramp status right there! HAHA! Last week I went out Louisiana to visit my man! He is working out there for the summer. I have traveled all over the world but never really been to the REAL south....let me just tell you that the south is a world of it's own! It was soooooooooo much fun! If it weren't for the hot humid climate I might just be able to live there. I love the southern culture and the food. It was so nice to be able to hang out with Jord all week. I even took Jersey pups outwith me to visit him because she hasn't seen him since the end of April! (That was an adventure of it's own!! I carried her on the plane with me in a little pet carrier!!) I actually ended up leaving her out in LA with Jord because I am going back out there on July 6th and didn't want to pay to fly her out again. Anyway---Here are a few of the highlights of the trip: We went on an airboat swamp tour to find us some Gators! It was so freaking fun, our tour guide was awesome and found us lots to look at. We also went down to New Orleans and went to the Audubon Aquarium, Bourbon Street, and the French Quarter. By the time we were done walking down bourbon street I had LOTS of beads around my neck....whoever said you gotta show some skin to get beads? Just gotta be blonde lol. It was quite the eye opener if you know what I mean....I can't even imagine how crazy it gets at Mardi Gras! At the French Quarter of course we had to go to Cafe Du Monde and get us some beignets, they were DELISH! While the boys were at work I did a lot of hanging out with the other wives that have husbands working out there, lots of pool time, shopping, and even a little bachelorette party! It was super relaxing and really fun, I can't even imagine if I lived out there with him for the summer, it would be like a 4 month long vacation. Oh well, I guess someone has to take care of all the sick people at home :) Can't wait to go back out there. My ticket is booked from July 6th-19th, but I think I might just call extend it for another week or two!

California Dreamin'

At the beginning of June, we took a weeklong family Vaca to Cali! It was SOOOOOO nice, some serious R&R was needed...and achieved! We stayed at the Carlsbad Beach Resort and it was A-mazing. Can I just tell you how much I love quaint little beach towns? I seriously think I could move there. We drove to Cali in a big van which was....interesting lol. It wasn't too bad because we stayed a day in Vegas on the way down, and on the way home so it split up the driving time a bit. Jord was able to fly out from Louisiana and spend some much needed time with me after not seeing each other for a month! For the most part we just relaxed on the beach! We did a lot of boogie boarding, playing in the sand, and riding beach cruisers on the boardwalk. We also went on an ocean kayak tour in La Jolla and spent some time in San Diego. The time flew by way too fast...I can't wait for our next family vacation!

Well I officially suck at blogging! You can expect a few posts in the next day or two to catch up on life's highlights! So my two besties, Ash and Chels are both going to be new mamas!! Ash actually already had her little stud muffin and he is cute as ever! Remington Reed Shepherd was born in the middle of May and he is adorable, I love kissing that little head with tons and tons of hair! Chels is due the first part of July so we are just waiting on little Mason to make his debut! I'm sure he will be a little hottie just like his Momma! I have tons of work friends and neighbor friends that are pregnant too! It's crazy how many baby showers I've been to in the last little while! All this baby talk is making my husband a little baby hungry......!!!

So....While all of you are blogging about your cute kids and the funny things they do, I suppose I will blog about the pets at the Van Ausdal family farm. So....a few weeks ago me and Jord were at CAL ranch and I was telling him how cute I thought the baby chicks and ducks were, then after we left the store I didn't think anything else of it. Then, last Saturday Jordan told me that he had to run and grab some stuff at CAL. Next thing I know he comes in the door carrying a little box with holes in it. I ask "Jordan.....what's in the box???" And he opens it up and is holding a little baby duck in each hand. He goes, "I knew you thought they were so cute so I thought I would surprise you with some!!" Can you imagine what is going through my mind? LOL. Just because I think something is cute does not mean that I wanted it as my pet- oh well, my husband is just too cute and tries so hard! Anyway, we now have two baby duckies living in our garage! We have a yellow one and a black one. I got to name the yellow one (Peeps) and Jord got to name the black one (Howard) of course he would pick something weird like that. He likes to call it Howard the Mallard. Jersey is so funny with them, she herds them around like they are her little buddies. She is never mean to them, just plays with them all the time and it's hilarious to watch! If you have any kiddo's that are bored feel free to send them over to the Van Ausdal's petting zoo. We are free of charge and a guaranteed good time. HAHA!

SPRING FEVER!!!

Soooo....I am getting Spring Fever worse than EVER! I am so excited for spring/summer to come I can hardly stand it! Since the summer after my Sophomore year in high school, I have been taking college classes almost full time THROUGH the summer, so needless to say I haven't really had a summer since then! I plan on PLAYING a lot this summer!
I plan on going to this concert.....

And hanging out here alot....

And maybe taking a few quick getaways to here.....

And if I'm lucky maybe even taking a vacation here....

D.C. & New Jersey!!

Well obviously my efforts to blog more often haven't kicked in yet! At the end of October Jordan and I (along with my parents) went on a 10 day vaca to Washington D.C.! It was an absolute blast! For being a girl that is not very interested in history, I learned SO MANY amazing things and gained a huge appreciation for how our country is run, and for all those who fight (and have fought) for our freedom. We saw so many things while we were there- The White House, Capitol, Arlington National Cemetery, Smithsonians, The Bureau of Engraving, Holocaust Museum, Spy Museum, Wax museum, The Washington, Lincoln, FDR, Korean War, and WWII monuments...and that is just a start. My favorite things we did there were touring the white house, and walking through the holocaust museum. We also took a Segway tour of the national mall which was so freakin fun- and hilarious. Jord and I left D.C. four days early, rented a car and drove over to New Jersey where Jordan served his mission. I got to see a lot of area's he served in and meet some of the people he served with and baptized. It was amazing, although I have to admit if I would have seen some of the places he served in BEFORE he actually went there...I might have begged him to come home. Some places were SOOOOO ghetto, it scared me to death! It was such a good experience and we had so much fun!!

REGISTERED NURSE...FINALLY!!!

WOW....it feels so good to say this, I thought the day would never come!! I am FINALLY- OFFICIALLY an RN! Nursing school was so hard and there were days that I wondered if I could ever actually make it to the end, but I am proud to say that I DID IT! Thanks to my wonderful family and in-laws, great friends, and loving husband for all of your support and putting up with me through school, I never could have done it without you!! I am now working at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse on the Neuro Trauma Rehab Unit. (I have worked here for over 2 years as a CNA, then LPN, now finally RN.) So needless to say I have been very blessed to make it to where I am at this point in my life, and I know I never could have done it alone!

My parents are such a great support, Love you guys!

Everyone has to do their annual "fall" post....right? So yeah, it's true, fall is my favorite season too....I love pumpkin spice candles, Hot chocolate by the fire, and my fall wardrobe- BLAH BLAH BLAH. No but seriously, this fall has been super fun so far! Every fall me and Jord go up to Sundance for the full moon lift ride. This year we went with our friends Trav and Jasmine and had a blast. We have been spending all of our other spare weekends up at the cabin watching the leaves change, running around on the fourwheelers, and chasing deer and elk (and an occasional skunk-see pic below!) Last weekend we were up at the cabin because it's tradition to go up for the Oct. session of general conference. We also celebrated my mom's 50th birthday up there. This weekend we decided to take another little getaway up to the cabin with some of our neighbors Pete and Jaime Williams, Todd and Amy Mower, and Kurtis and Kim Jensen. We had so much freakin fun, and can't wait to get back up there before it snows! Hope you are all doing well and feeling festive, I sure am! :)

Wow, yes I suck at blogging. Every time I sit down to write a new post I realize I have a million pics and events to pick from. Now that school is over and I actually have time for a life, I am going to be better at blogging! This is probably going to be a long post but I'll try to be to the point and not ramble!!! A few things that have been going on this summer

1) First and foremost, Jord and I got a new baby niece! Zac and Cami had their sweet baby Addison on July 26, 2010. She weighed 6 lb 10 oz, and was 18.5 in long. She is beautiful and looks just like her mommy with just a titch of her dad. It's been fun having a little baby in the basement! Jord is hoping it will make me baby hungry...needless to say I'm not there yet.

2) Me, Jord, and my mommy took a little vacation to Vegas last month, I didn't take many pics, but we had a blast! My mom decided that since my dad was in Alaska fishing, that she needed a little getaway too, so she invited me and Jord to take a little vegas vaca.

3) The whole fam went to the SF rodeo like we do every year! I thought I'd post a couple pics of the rodeo. Nic's (girl??)friend Bree got a little embarrassed when I made them get a pic with the clown!

4)For Jord's friend Bryce's B-day party we went to this power tumbling place, it was really fun. Definitely a bit unsanitary, but we had a blast. Me and Jord were having fun in the Sumo suits. Jord even took a few dives into the foam pit with it on!

5) Me and Jord celebrated our 2nd Anniversary on Aug. 16th!!! This probably deserves a post of it's own, but oh well. My hubby is amazing and I love him so much. We kept it pretty low key this year to save our money to go to DC and New Jersey in Oct., and hopefully Mexico in November!! We went to the Toby Keith/Trace Adkins concert, and had a nice dinner. Jord of course spoiled me with lots of presents and flowers! Jess and Chett were at the concert too, so they came up on the lawn and hung out with us. Me and Jess rocked out while jord and chett made fun of drunks, pretty romantic anniversary eh...LOL?

6) Last but not least some of our BFF's Steve and Lauren got married on Aug. 18th. The sealing was beautiful and it was great to be there in the temple with them. The reception was interesting as the weather couldn't decided what it wanted to do, but it still turned out great!

Hopefully I can get my act together and start blogging more than once every two months, I guess we'll just have to wait and find out!

So not a whole ton has been going on lately, just a few things to blog about and a few new pics!

One of my Bestie's, Ash Erekson got married on the 11th of June! It was great to see her and Brady get sealed to each other in the Manti Temple. It was a little bit overwhelming and brought back so many memories of when me and Jord were sealed there....that was almost two years ago, can you believe it? Anyway, Ash and Brady's ceremony was great, and the reception was beautiful too!

My sis in law Cami had a baby shower a couple weeks ago, and all I've got to say is little Addison is going to be totally spoiled! It kinda made me want a baby....not bad enough though (sorry Jord!) The shower was fun and Cami got lot's of great stuff for the baby! She is due on Aug. 8th, so not too much longer and I'll have a crying baby in my basement...oh I mean an adorable new niece :)

Jord's sister Lindsey and her cute fam came here from Oklahoma to visit for a couple of weeks, we had such a fun time hanging out with our little niece Avery. She is getting so big and talking so much, she keeps us laughing all the time!

June 30th was a day we all waited for forever, why? Because Edward and Jacob debuted their beautiful faces yet again!! Chels came from San Francisco and got us tickets to go see the show the day it came out. It was absolutely fabulous, no disappointment at all! I don't have any pics from our little twilight outing, but it was an event worth blogging about. It was fun to spend the night with Chels, and I would like to let you all know I'm staying strong....GO TEAM EDWARD!

4th of July is a favorite holiday around our house! It's always a tradition to go to the cabin for the weekend. Our friends Scott and Ash came up with us from Fri. to Sat., and we had a great time fourwheeling and playing games with them. Then the rest of the time we just hung out with the fam, went fourwheelin, rhino riding, played cards, tetris, darts, and had a lot of fun dance parties/ workouts....you should have seem my mom, she's an animal!!! Anyway, the cabin was a blast and we were happy to have some time with the fam. On the 5th of July, we both had work off so we spent the day out on the lake with our friends Pete and Jaime. Jord got his first bad sunburn of the season, but also got the hang of wakeboarding for the first time, he was having so much fun! After boating we had a BBQ with Jord's family at his Aunt Beckii's house and stuffed ourselves until we couldn't eat anymore.

Well that's about it for now.....stay posted for some more entertaining blog posts, the reason I say this is because I have exactly ONE MONTH left of nursing school and then I anticipate my life being a LOT less boring after that!! Then maybe I'll post some things that are worth reading! Hope you all had a wonderful fourth of July!

BOLIVIA-PERU: APRIL 2010!!

Because my husband is being lazy and wont write his own post, I am being his scribe....so here is his story (he's telling me what to write):

In April, I had the opportunity to go to Bolivia with Kate's family to check up on her dad's study projects for BYU, and do a little humanitarian work. We spent the majority of our time in La Paz, which was my favorite city we visited. While in La Paz we visited a lot of small nearby cities where many of the families were in need of food and clothing. We went to the markets in these towns and bought a bunch of food to hand out to multiple families. Spending $30 would supply a large Bolivian family with food for over two months. Some of the most humbling experiences came when i walked into these people's homes (if you could call them that) and saw their living conditions. It's amazing to me that they can actually survive the way they live. After visiting these families we went further out on the Alti Plano and took school supplies to some children in schools there. They were pretty surprised that a gringo was speaking spanish and they were making fun of me because I was so big. As we were handing out coloring books and crayons to the children, I was surprised to find out that they had never seen anything like this before and we had to teach them what to do with the crayons. Before we left to Peru we went and visited a few "supposed" ancient book of mormon sites/ruins....pretty impressive! We also traveled down the famous ROAD OF DEATH (youtube it) to a little jungle town called Curoico. After we spent nearly a week in Bolivia, we flew to Cuzco, Peru where we traveled to Machu Pichu. Although our tour guide wasn't too fond of Americans, we still enjoyed our time there and were amazed at the Mayan architecture. We were even more surprised when our very expensive travel agency lost our bags and landed us in the Machu Pichu HOSTAL!! Kate's mom was completely disgusted so she worked some magic, and we ended up in a very nice hotel for the night. In order to catch our flight home, we had to go back to La Paz, where we spend our last day in South America visiting an orphanage which was a very sad, but gratifying experience. When we arrived at the orphanage I was shocked when I saw a "baby drop off" at the front. Mothers that didn't want to keep there babies could drop their babies in this little turn table thing, and when the mom turned it, it rings a bell letting the orphanage workers inside know that a new baby had arrived. We handed out popcorn, suckers, clothes, and milk to over 100 orphans. I spend most of my time there in the nursery playing with and holding the babies/toddlers. When you'd pick one up, they would want kisses, and then the rest of the babies would reach out their arms waiting and wishing they'd be the next one to receive some attention. There was definitely more than one baby I wanted to take home! After the orphanage we headed back home! That was the best trip I have ever been and hope I can go back someday and help out more people!!

So when we added our little Jersey Bug to the fam, everyone that saw her would tell us, "that dog is going to prepare you to have kids you know!" and me and Jord were like yeah right...a dog is a dog and a kid is a kid! Well the more funny little things Jersey does, she reminds me of my little niece Avery and i'm like HOLY CRAP! Dogs really ARE kinda like kids! I was loading the dishes the other night and all of a sudden I go to put a plate in the dishwasher and Jersey is right there standing on the door of the dishwasher licking the plates. Normally when she does stuff like that I just tell her "NO!" and make her stop whatever she is doing. But I was laughing so hard I couldn't yell at her, and Jord got the camera out and started taking pics. One of the reason's I started laughing so hard is because Jord's sister Lindsey had a post a few months ago of our little neice Avery getting into the dishwasher and the comparison of the two is hilarious. So I stole a pic of my sis-in-laws blog....see if you can see the resemblence between the two little trouble makers! Now I'm not saying that there is any REAL comparison between dogs and kids (afterall that is why we don't have kids yet!) but I do have to admit there are a few little things and responsibilities with a dog that might begin to prepare you in the slightest way for kids. But I can barely handle my adorable puppy, so I think we'll hold off on the kids for a while!! Anyway, Jersey is getting big and getting lighter, so I'm going to post a few recent pics of her! She really is such a good pup, but if anyone has any potty training tips...I'd love to hear them. I'm convinced that I've heard and tried everything, but if someone's got something new then PLEASE hit me with it!!!

My attempt to look as pregnant as Jess...It was a good effort, but sorry Jess you're still bigger!

Ok i'm going to try to be better at blogging but let's be honest...until I graduate in Aug I will probably still be quite a slacker! I'll update you on a few fun things that have gone on the last couple weeks. On March 24th Ash and I threw Jess a baby shower, it was a blast and a lot of high school friends showed up! I wish I would have taken more pics while everyone was there but I forgot to take my camera out til the end so there are just a couple pics of me and jess and then some of a few of the girls. Another fun thing was a couple weeks ago, my mom, grandma, me and Cami had a girls night and it was a BLAST! We went to dinner at the Cheesecake factory...(and of course ate entirely to much,) and then my mom got us tickets to go see Legally Blonde at the capitol theater. It was SOOOOOOOOOO good! I seriously laughed my butt off the whole time. I know people will disagree with me but I liked it even more than WICKED! Call me crazy, but I really thought it was THAT good. Or maybe it's just more my style. Anyway, what else? Jord and Jersey are also doing good. Jordan is actually in Bolivia right now leaving me at home all alone for two weeks (nursing school stops you from going anywhere fun....or anywhere period!) AH! It's been awful without him. I guess i'm really not as independent as I thought because I will have to admit....I really do miss him tons and tons, but he's having a blast and helping a lot of people down there, so that's all that matters! Meanwhile me and the pup are at home, I'm sick as a dog with some kind of nasty upper respiratory infection and she is keeping me company/driving me crazy. I love her to death but holy crap she is high maintainence! The other day Jord was saying he wished that God would have blessed him with a "chill" dog because heaven knows he can't deal with two diva's in the house. Rude huh? I thought it was kinda funny though. He didn't exactly say those words but it was something to that extent. Well, we are pretty boring but that is about all that is new with us! I'll do a post with lot's of pics from Jord's Bolivia trip when he gets home!

Wow I haven't posted anything in forever!!! I figure I just post mostly for fun because I'm pretty sure only one or two people ever even look at my blog! Maybe my blog will be more popular when I have a baby...the ones with cute little kids are much more fun to look at!! Anyway....Just thought I'd share a few highlights from the holidays!! We went with my fam down to Vegas a few days before Christmas for the Vegas bowl, which was an absolute blast! I had to work Christmas eve which was not quite such a bast, Christmas morning was at my parents this year and holy cow did "santa" go crazy there! We also found out that Zac and Cami (my bro and sis in law) are expecting a little baby girl! It was so much fun! Then we went to Jords parents after and got some great stuff there too! We were definitely spoiled by both parents! The day after Christmas we took off to the cabin for a couple days and had a great time snowmobiling, playing games, drinking hot chocolate by the fire, and watching 24 up in the loft (24 is my family's new obsession, we've been renting the seasons!) Then we came home and relaxed for a few days before going up to Trav's cabin to celebrate new years eve. New years day we went up to the Nelson Cabin and went sledding and had a great time up there with Jord's family. The highlight of our holiday was having our little niece Avery here from Oklahoma! She is the cutest little ball of fire you will ever see and has the funniest personality, we just cant get enough of her! Hope everyone had as wonderful as a holiday as we did. Then of course...holidays have to end and school has to start back up! In January I took my LPN NCLEX test and PASSED!! So now I'm working as an LPN (licensed practical nurse) on the Rehab unit at the hospital...I LOVE IT! I have half of this semester left and then one more until I'm done! Then I'll have to take the RN nclex....I can't wait to graduate nursing school it is so hard!!! Enough about school....Jord's birthday was Jan. 25th and I kidnapped him and took him to Vegas and Disneyland for a little birthday fun, so I'll put in a few pics from that little vaca!! The newest and funnest thing going on with us is that we just got a new puppy!! Our adorable little yorkie is so much fun! Her name is Jersey and she's the cutest little thing you've ever seen. Even Jord who hates LITTLE dogs loves her! His choice would have been some big hunting dog, but instead he was a sweetie and got me the dog that I wanted for Valentines day. So that is about all that's been going on with us! I'll try to update this a little more often for my two followers lol.

OMG.....so Halloween was a blast this year! It's fun to have a party when you have your own house! Now I'm already planning a Christmas Party, New Years party, Super Bowl Party (again), and lots more! I love friends and PaRtIeS~~!! We had our party the night before Halloween, then our new friends/neighbors Pete and Jaime had a party on Halloween night. It was a blast. Everyone was SO creative with their costumes. So I know that fall has officially been here for a while now....but I'm just starting to get into it! Because we've been so busy with school and work and finishing the basement of our house, we didn't have much of a summer, so I was totally in denial that summer was ending....BUT, now that I have accepted the fact that summer is OVER, I decided that fall might just be my new favorite season. The only way I can really explain it is this:

Fall makes me feel COZY!!!!

You might not understand that...but there is just something about going inside from a cool crisp day and being able to make hot chocolate and cozy up by the fire....

Here are some of my favorite things about my new favorite season:

1) Being able to drink hot chocolate
2) Halloween and costume parties
3) The yummy smell of pumpkin spice candles and home made treats
4)Being able to break out my exquisite fall/winter wardrobe (much cuter than the summer wardrobe, (you can be much more creative-I LOVE layers...and coats...and boots....and CLOTHES. Period.)
5)Haunted Houses....LOVE THEM!!!
6)Corn Mazes...also fun
7)The leaves OF course, especially up at the cabin.
8) Halloween decorations and carving pumpkins (I've done awful this year with decorating, because I've been so busy, next year I promise my decorating will be FABULOUS!
9)Full Moon lift rides up at Sundance
10) Knowing that Christmas is well on it's way!!!!

I'm sure there are lots more things I love but I just can't think of them right now....I'll add more if i think of more. There are a few things that I HATE about the weather changing....

1) I HATE HATE HATE having to scrape frost off my car windows...I'd rather die! (thank goodness I have a garage now to help with that factor!)
2) Losing your summer tan is the worst...Not that I ever got much of one this year anyway.
3) Getting into a freezing car and gripping the steering wheel and being shocked by the icy coldness of it.

Well bottom line is that I love fall, but like anything else, there is always a little bad with the good!

So pretty much- my extended family is awesome. We've had a few fun adventures lately, up to the cabin, down to Lake Mohave on the houseboat, and a few others. The annual Frisch Fam Halloween party is coming up, and that's always a good time! You just gotta love them Sanpete County folk, ya know? The cowboy boots, the non-stop hunting, cowboy poetry, docking sheep in the spring....what's not to love?? When I go to the rodeo with the fam every 24th of july, I "dress up" in my boots and cowboy hat just for fun.....but for them it's not dress up, they are the hard core cowboys you see with the wranglers, stetson's, and REAL boots (I don't know any boot brands lol....besides like steve madden and that's the wrong kind of boot) Anyway...my fam is crazy and fun and I love them!! My granny is 85 and still partyin with the family, I'm gonna be just like that lady some day. Here are a few pics of some of the fun we've had the last little while....

So it was my B-day on Aug. 31.....but we had so many parties I pretty much felt like a celebrity all week!! You know how all the celebs have like weeklong birthday parties? That was me the week of my b-day! It all started with a trip to our friend Trav's cabin on Aug. 29th and 30th. (It was Trav's girlfriends birthday the same week so we had a big combined party) Travis still has all the pics from that crazy trip but I will post them when I get them, I only have a few from that trip that I'll post now. So then Monday was my actual birthday and Jordie could not WAIT to give me my presents! He wanted me to open them up at midnight right when it turned 12:01, but I made him wait til morning. He got me a new mattress for the guest bedroom, a little cabinet for the bathroom that I've been wanting, This freakin awesome plant and planter (I know that sounds weird but they are all things I asked for) but my FAVORITE present from Jord was my SNUGGIES!!! Please tell me that you have seen those commercials on TV?? I have been wanting a snuggie forever and Jord always just laughed and told me I was dumb and wouldn't let me get one, but then he totally surprised me with two of them for my B-day....it was hilarious/awesome hahaha. So that morning after opening presents we went to gandolfo's for breakfast, then I had to go to class, then my good friend Ashlee from school took me out to CPK for lunch. Later that night I went with the fam to Tepanyaki, then we went to my mom's after for cake and ice cream. My parents got me a new BBQ grill (love it!!) Zac and Cami got me some way cute new scrubs, and Nic got me some BBQing utensils. So that was monday. Tuesday after our softball games we had our whole team over and had a big BBQ on my new grill, cooked up some steaks and burgers, and had cheesecake for dessert! Then on Wednesday we celebrated my B-day with all my girlfriends at Pizza Factory, then came back to my house after and Chels brought me a yummy chocolate cake! I got all kinds of good stuff from my friends...hair products, headbands, halloween decorations, i tunes and ruby river gift cards, kitchen stuff, etc. So all in all I'd say I had a FABULOUS birthday....And I'm proud to say that my husband can no longer make fun of me for being a teenager!!

So on Monday me and my friends had a much needed girls night. We haven't gotten together for way too long, so it was great that everyone could make it! We went to Red Robin for dinner then came back to my house so everyone could check out the new place! Jord hid back in our room and just let me and my girls do our thing....he is a very patient man to even STAY in the house while all my friends are over! CRAZY GIRLS...but I don't know what I'd do without them!

So me and Jord have officially been married for a year now!! Freakin crazy huh? We celebrated our first anniversary this weekend. What we hoped to be a reunion vacation to Mexico for our first anniversary, turned into a weekend at the Little America in SLC (That's what happens when you build a house, ha ha ha) But regardless, we had a blast!! We spent the weekend relaxing- movies, pool, hot tub, massages....it was great! Because we spent all our money on the house, we decided to do things a little smaller this year. Jord somehow still makes things so nice, he got me a bunch of hot pink roses (my fave) and got me a way cute Nixon watch that I've been wanting forever....but this is the best part...(I hope he doesn't get on and read this he'll be so embarrassed!) Anyway, you know those little coupon books we all made for our moms for mothers day when we were little? Like the ones that had coupons in it of jobs we'd do around the house for her and what not? Well Jord made me a coupon book and it was my favorite present! There were things in it like "Good for one breakfast in bed," "Good for one foot massage," "Good for one night of me making dinner AND doing dishes," "Good for Coldstone once a week for four weeks," and all kinds of other cute funny things! It made me laugh, but it has proved to come in handy the last few days! Jordan is a sweetie! Jordan has been wanting some new sunglasses for a while now...and since I couldn't really think of anything cute or meaningful, I just bought him a hot new pair of Oakleys, got him a funny card since he would appreciate that more than a nice one(it said, "happy anniversary, to the one who's seem me on the toilet and loves me anyway!") and gave him a good massage! We ate the top of our cake (it was actually delicious, not disgusting like everyone else always says) We went to the Little America Steakhouse for dinner and I had BY FAR the most amazing steak ever. I'm rambling now....but it was a great weekend, it's been a great year, and I can't wait for the years to come!

A while ago I told some of you that I would post some pics of the house....well I finally had some time to take a few today, so here they are!! Jordan did all of the tile work in the entire house and did an amazing job, if I do say so myself. There are still a few things we are going to change, and a few things we are working on. We will hopefully have our yard in the first week of September, and we are also working on finishing the basement, hoping to have it done by first of October for Zac and Cami to move in. Also, we are going to paint the front door of our house a different color (it gets lost in all of the brown!) The second bedroom is pretty much a storage room for the time being, which is why I didn't take any pics of it. Hopefully we'll be able to make it into a guest room soon! Other than all the little projects going on, we are just enjoying and loving our new home!

Boys Trip to Alaska!!!

For the last two weeks, Jord has been in Alaska with my dad and brothers. The first week I was really lonely, and kinda scared to be at home alone in our new house, but the second week I took off with my mom to Vegas for a shopping trip. Both Jordan and I got home yesterday, it was a nice reunion! Here are some highlights from Jord's trip.....He saw a bunch of moose, and was a bit disappointed not to see a bear, however, was excited when they stumbled across some bear poop (you'll see that bears do NOT digest berries very good)! They figured between the four of them, they caught over 2000 pounds of fish- only bringing home about of fourth of that in filets in the eight coolers that they were allowed to check on the airplane! Jordan was pretty mad that my little brother Nic took his lucky fishing spot on the halibut charter they took out, when he reeled in the two biggest fish of the trip. Jordan said halibut fishing was the funnest day. Nic may have been the best with the halibut, but Jord was King of the Kenai River!! Jordan caught the most salmon and the prettiest (and hopefully tastiest) fish of the trip. Although it was a vacation...as always Jord's workaholic personality always comes out somewhere. While they were there, he split a bunch of wood, built a smokehouse to smoke fish in, and finished a shower in one of my dad's buddies cabin. All in all, I'm convinced they had an amazing trip!!

So I am thrilled to FINALLY be able to tell you all that our house is DONE!! Yes, you heard me...DONE! It's about freakin time! (not like it's really taken that long, they built our entire house in 2 months and 3 days) But still, it seems like forever! And oh the stress........anyway.....we should be closing on it tomorrow or monday, and when I get the house looking all cute I'll post some pics of the inside! For right now you just get the exterior....and its not even landscaped yet, but oh well. As of right now the basement is unfinished, but in the next month or so Jord is going to finish it himself (with a little help of course) and we are going to rent it out to Zac and Cami. But for right now we are just REAAAAAAAAALLY excited to move into our new house, it will be so nice!!! P.S. the door really is not going to be white! I just took the pic before it got painted!

So the other day Jord went out of town for his friend Deven's bachelor party...so it was saturday night and for the first time in a long time I was all by my lonesome! Ok....so it's been a little while since I posted, so here's the update! Jord and I went to Vegas with our friends Scott and Ash after finals and before I started my summer semester, we had a blast with them it was so much fun! The house finally got to the point where we could put the flooring in (jord layed the tile, we did travertine (cant spell that) in the bathrooms and laundry room, and Jord put a travertine and hardwood lattice in the kitchen. I absolutely love it, he did amazing! He's such a handyman, I'm a lucky girl. I helped as much as I could but I'm not going to lie I pretty much just watched him and went and got him treats and drinks when he was hungry and thirsty! Oh, and I ran the ipod and made sure we had good music playing the entire time. Then just this last weekend we went up to the cabin for memorial day, it was nice to get away, as you can see in one of the pics, Jord and my daddy were having a little too much fun suiting up to go out on the Rhino in the rain and mud and muck!! We just barely got stucco on the house this week, and I don't have pics yet, but I'll post them soon! It's starting to look like a real house, I'm getting super excited!

House Update!

SO...The framing is done! YAY, it actually looks somewhat like a house now, we're getting so excited! Jordan just called me from work and said that they got all the windows in today, and have started doing the shingles, and the electrical guys are there too...So it's going up pretty dang fast! I CAN NOT WAIT!!!!

So....FINALS ARE OVER!!! HOORAY~!! Seriously, making it through the first semester of my nursing program feels so good! Yes, I know it's only the first semester, and I'm sure it's only going to get much harder...but at least I got through the shock of the heavy workload and crazy schedule, so now I'm prepared! Let's just say that before I started this nursing program it would about put me in tears if I got anything but and "A" grade...and after this semester, I have never been more happy to get "B"s!!!! Like they say, B's and C's get degrees! I never thought I'd agree with that saying, now I'm it's biggest fan! Jord is also excited to have finals over with and did really well in all of his classes. One more semester and he'll have his associates (yay!) Sowe are going to hit up Vegas this weekend to take a little chill pill before I start back to school on Monday!

So as if Jord and I weren't busy enough with work and school, we decided to build a house this summer! I'm sure a lot have you have already heard, but for the rest of you who haven't, now you know! It's just a little guy, but it will be MORE than enough room for the two of us, and we are totally ecstatic! They dug our hole last Saturday, and the ENTIRE house is supposed to done 90 days from the dig....so we should be in our new home mid-end July! YAY! We are building in SF just a little northwest of the big softball complex on the south end of town. They should start the framing next week, I'll keep you all updated!

WICKED!!!!

So just this last week me and Jord got to go with the whole fam (including Grandma) up to the capitol theater to watch WICKED!! It' was so freakin fun I am now obsessed with the play (and the soundtrack) It really was so good I loved it! Even Jord admitted he loved it and he's "not really the kinda guy that likes plays" ......Anyway, it was a great night out with the fam and I HIGHLY reccommend it!

We finally found a new car.....no more driving the rentals! After car shopping for DAYS we finally found one. We bought a Pontiac G6 and so far she's serving us well!

A Close Call...

So I was on my way home from work Tuesday morning at about 6:00 a.m. (I work graveyards) and I was only about a mile away from home when a car ran a stop sign going about 45 MPH and struck me right on the drivers side of my car. I had been on the phone with Jordan because he always talks to me on my way home from work so I dont fall asleep. He said he heard me scream, then a big boom, then my phone call hung up. I don't remember it very clearly but long story short, Jordan came to the scene and was probably more freaked out than I was. (I don't blame him after seeing the sight of my poor car) Then the ambulance came and hauled me off to the ER. After doing a few X-rays and picking glass out from between my toes, they let me go with ONLY a few cuts and bruises, and some pills to help with the soreness! It was a close call and I can tell you right now that I am grateful for seatbelts and airbags! Oh, and also for a wonderful husband who has been pampering me and waiting on me hand and foot all week. He's such a sweetheart!

Girls Trip to Disneyland!

A few weeks ago me, my mom and cami (my sis in law) got to go on a girls trip to disneyland! It was so much fun, not to mention a relief to get away from school for a while!! Jordan was really jealous but I don't have much sympathy, seeing as he gets to go to Alaska on a "guys trip" for a week in July. Anyway, my mom is principal at Salem Hills High School and her cheerleaders had a competition down there so we got to tag along. We hit disneyland hard for two days straight and it was a blast!! I also found my favorite new nightshirt! I didn't have any complaints about the weather either:) it made me really miss summer.....

OK!!! So I'm finally figuring this whole blog thing out....well kind of! Jord and I have been crazy busy with work and school, it gets tedious!! He's finishing up with his generals at UVU and I am in the Nursing Program at Provo College. But we still make time for fun and are still enjoying being newlyweds!
